| Misc. Notes |
| Present at the marriage which was "by banns" were: L.B.G. Moore, Curate; John Clewes and Martha Harrison. The John Clewes here might be a brother and accordingly, Martha might be her sister. Elizabeth and Ralph get to Canada after the birth of their eldest son John in 1833 and go on to have four more children: James: Mary Ann; Ralph; William. Records indicate she is present at the burials of her infants children's deaths - Mary Ann (1) in 1838 and Ralph (1) in 1840 but when her husband dies in 1847 she isn't there which leads me to think she might have died by this time. If that is so, imagine that in 1847, John Harrison is 14, William is 3 and James is 2. Who would have raised them ? |
